This one

How many bikes have you owned?
One

Why do you ride?
Gotta love it!  Always wanted to ride…

Have you ridden with an organized group before?
Yes

What modifications have you done to your bike?
Forward controls moved to mid.  Detachable windshield.  Solo seat.  Slip on pipes.

What accessories do you want to add to your bike?
New shocks.  Re-jet (as of 15 Feb) the bike is being serviced and maybe re-jetted if needed.

What is your dream bike?
Right now, the Deuce.

What kind of riding do you like to do – straight-aways or twisties?
Right now, on the bike!  Getting used to curved roads.  Just want to get the miles in!

What is your favorite riding route?
Last year’s poker run with Jimmy’s Old Towne Tavern from Herndon.  Went into West Virginia through Harper’s Ferry…very nice!

Do you ride your bike to work?
Right now, I live so close to work that the bike won’t warm up.  I want to start riding to work so I’ve got to figure that out.

What is the fastest you’ve ridden?
Hit 75-80.  Liked it?  Oh, yeah!

What is your favorite time of year to ride?
Summer!

Have you ever been down?  If so, how were you hurt and what did you learn from the incident?
On one ride, I dropped my bike in my friend’s driveway (dealing with the decline of his driveway and the incline of the road and trying to turn the bike while backing up).  My battery cover flew off on Route 50 and I went down on a hairpin turn.  The guys in front slowed down in the turn and I looked at the bushes on the side of the road.  I was going so slowly, the bushes/weeds stopped the bike before I could get back on the road.  I only needed six more inches of pavement and I would’ve been fine.  I wasn’t hurt, but got a lot of **** from the Legion guys I was riding with when they found out I was okay.  What did I learn?  Power Walk your bike in a hairpin turn! :o)

Have you ever done an “Iron Butt” ride?
No, but a friend talked to me about it and I want to do it…I just need to find someone to go with me!  I am very interested in taking road trips with the bike, but don’t have anyone to do that with yet.

If not, what is the furthest you’ve ridden?
In the summers I ride 200+ miles a day.

What was the worst weather in which you’ve ridden?
Rainy and cold!

Do you know how to work on your bike?
Not yet but I’m looking for people who can show me.  I had a friend show me how to work on the pipes.  I want to learn!  I will also asking a friend to help me add new shocks to lower my bike.

What is your favorite road song?
Nothing in particular – no speakers yet!  I want to check into a music system.  Any ideas people can share with me on this?

What was your most adventurous ride?
Met up at a bike night with another riding group – Custom Cruisers – and they meet in Fredericksburg.  I had to ride home on my own at night and it was cold.

What rallies or events do you like to attend?
Haven’t done any yet…I’m going to Myrtle Beach this summer.  If I can’t find someone going down with a trailer this might be my first long distance road trip on the bike!

Is there someone who rides “two-up” with you?
No, got a solo seat.  Dude’s gotta have his own ride!

Why did you join the SCRC?
Pestered by Teach!

Off the cuff from Christina……

“I don’t know what else to add.  I have an addiction to riding.  Any time the weather is nice I like to get the bike out.  I am still getting used to riding and don’t venture too far on back roads solo…just in case something happens.

I served on a deployment team where I was known as P.I.T.A. Pain In The Ass…this is because I can be very annoying and bug people to death about things.  With my friends that ride, I am the one calling and bugging them about where we are going, when we are leaving on a ride.  I am trying to work on being such a pain…trust me, in time you will see this side of me!  But hey, if it gets me on the road with two-wheeled friends, it’s all good!”
