How did you hear about the SCRC and when did you join?
My husband joined around 2010 and I went with him on rides. When I got my bike, I officially joined.

How long have you been riding?
This past covid season was my 5th year riding though we didn’t ride all that much. With covid and my husbands bike being in the shop all summer (3 engines but that is a different story), we didn’t ride all that much.

Have you ever taken a motorcycle safety course?
Yes, I took the 3 wheel class, it was regular trikes, reverse trikes (can-am) and side cars. There was one guy with a side car, said he always wanted on. Once he finished getting beat up trying to ride it, he changed his mind.

What was your first bike?
My first bike is the 2014 Tri-Glide and I love it. Only when I saw the 2020 Tri-Glide CVO did I even think about another bike. It was the start of covid so I figured I shouldn’t spend the money, not knowing what was going on.

How many bikes have you owned?
Just this one

Why do you ride?
Well, I started because I was tired of looking at a big black helmet worn by my husband when I was riding with him. Once I started though, I just enjoy the feeling, it’s hard to explain. If I am stressed, wind therapy helps so much. I also noticed that when we ride, we meet so many really great people

Have you ridden with an organized group before?
No, I hadn’t.

What modifications have you done to your bike?
We put on luv jugs to see if that would help with the heat and this past winter, I added a heated mustang seat. I also added some flashing to the brake lights. It came with the green neon lights though. It had about 3k miles on it when I bought it.

What accessories do you want to add to your bike?
I’m good right now.

What is your dream bike?
I’m still going to go with the 2020 Tri-Glide CVO.

What kind of riding do you like to do — straight-aways or twisties?
I like both but to be honest, when I am with the group, I like the straight-aways because I tend to go a little slower in the twisties having 3 wheels and I feel like I get hold others up. The twisties are really fun though.

What is your favorite riding route?
I don’t have one. One of these days, I figure I will though.

Do you ride your bike to work?
Yes, I do, from time to time.

What is the fastest you’ve ridden?
Don’t tell my husband but around 90mph. I know that is slow to some but it was fast for me.

What is your favorite time of year to ride?
I love the summer actually. As long as I can take breaks and hydrate, I don’t mind the heat.

Have you ever been down? If so, how were you hurt and what did you learn from the incident?
Knock on wood, no, I have not.

Have you ever done an "Iron Butt" ride?
No, and I really don’t have a desire to.

If not, what is the furthest you’ve ridden?
From northern virginia to Emerald Island NC in a single day.

What was the worst weather in which you’ve ridden?
We came back from Charlston, SC just last month. The weather was beautiful while we were there but on the way home, about Charoltte NC, we hit the rain caused by one of the hurricanes that hit the Gulf Coast. We road for about an hour and then got a hotel since it was getting dark. The following day was 5 hours of highway driving in a heavy rain. With the group, we were going to Bedford, VA and were on Blue Ridge Parkway. It was mostly twisties, rain and very thick fog.

Do you know how to work on your bike?
No, I don’t.

What is your favorite road song?
Zombie by Black Wolves.

What was your most adventurous ride?
I have no idea where we were but on one trip, first thing, very early in the morning, the roads we were on were twisties, needed patching, very narrow, switchbacks, etc. Without a lot of caffeine, it was tough.

What rallies or events do you like to attend?
We have done the 9/11 ride for many years now, Rolling Thunder and several local rallies like Jill’s House.

Is there someone who rides "two-up" with you?
No, seems no one trusts me
