SCRC Loudoun VA Featured Steed - November, 2020

Bike Owner:  Greg Parker

What is the make/model of your ride?
2016 Harley-Davidson Road-Glide Ultra CVO (FLTRUSE)

It is FOR SALE, with a $400 cash commission to any SCRC member that makes a referral resulting in a sale. Contact Greg for details.

Does it have a nickname? What is it?
She is called "Fat Pearl", in honor of her 940lb curb weight and an earlier custom Road King named "Pearl".

Tell us what you have done to make it yours. My initial plan was to keep the bike stock. Even though CVOs come loaded with gorgeous paint, high end electronics, and lots of chrome, that plan lasted all of 10 minutes.

I've added 14" Yaffee bars, extended shift and brake levers, as well as a Mustang heated seat. Custom Dynamics front LEDs, and a strobing rear LED have been added for safety. The audio has been upgraded with new amplifiers and speakers, to better hear AC/DC or ZZ Top at speed.

A recent engine re-build by 1-Forty-1 Cycle increased displacement from 110” to 113”. With a performance cam, Bassani 2:1:2 headpipe, and S&S mufflers she now makes ~120hp and ~140ft-lbs. torque. I am amazed at how well it runs.

How many miles have you riddin on it?
41,974 miles, including about 2500 since the engine rebuild.

What is the longest ride you have taken on this bike?
In 2016 I made a solo trip to the Rocky Mountains, including Glacier, the Utah parks, Four Corners, Million Dollar Highway, and Pikes Peak. It was about 6600 miles in a little under three weeks.

Does the bike have a default location it likes to take you?
The Bay Top Motel, in Laconia, NH is my regular spot for Laconia Bike week annually. While I have many routes to get there (including one that loops through Canada and burns up 3278 miles) I usually end up in the same spot at the same time each June.
